Stem cells can become almost anything inside your body – but also fascinating images that reveal how truly magnificent you are on a cellular level.

In the exhibition, you will encounter 12 spectacular images – the finalists of reNEW’s ARTxSCIENCE photo competition 2025. The images come from real stem cell research, captured by the researchers themselves in moments of both beauty and scientific breakthrough.

Behind each image lies research that may, in the future, help improve the lives of people with currently incurable diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, heart failure, asthma, and infertility.

Real Science – Real Stem Cells

The exhibition is created by the international research center Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Stem Cell Medicine, reNEW, which works to develop new and safe stem cell-based treatments.

reNEW is a collaboration between three leading research institutions: the University of Copenhagen, Leiden University Medical Center (the Netherlands), and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (Australia).

We are proud to present this exhibition, which both inspires and makes complex research accessible to everyone.
