The Tunnel of Senses

Everyday life is combined with a scientific full-body experience of human beings’ fascinating and evolving senses. The Tunnel of Senses is an immersive experience for all ages.

The Tunnel of Senses

  • Experimentarium’s most popular exhibition, completely revised.
  • A journey from embryo to old age through the marvelous world of senses.
  • An immersive experience for all ages.

Lifecycle as a narrative

Visitors experience the development of senses throughout life in the partly darkened tunnel. The tunnel is a sheltered path that gives visitors the opportunity to engage in a personal and immersive journey of discovery.

Five fascinating rooms

The embryo room is dark, the height to the ceiling is limited, and the floor vibrates to the sound of a heart beating.

In the childhood room, there are light and mirror effects as well as surprising surfaces and smells.

In the adult room’s forest landscape, light, sounds and smells create a special atmosphere. There are also a few built-in surprises, so visitors will still experience something new after several visits.

The old-age room is designed with a sloping soft floor and uv-lights.

The visitor may take either the dark staircase or a slide, which represents the end.

The Tunnel of Senses has a specially designed surveillance system, so visitors can be followed throughout the activity and individual announcements can be given via a loudspeaker system.
