In SMASK, Experimentarium’s charming eatery, your senses take center stage: Here you’ll discover that you don’t just taste with your mouth and tongue, but also with your eyes, nose, and ears.

SMAsK is for the whole family, and on the menu, you will find a combination of familiar dishes and sensory experiments that challenge the senses and taste buds in a fun and delicious way.

When you purchase food and beverages in SMASK, you help us fulfill our purpose of inspiring children and young people’s curiosity for science, technology, and sustainability.

For example, try a jet-black hot dog with green remoulade and be surprised at how much sight matters for what we eat. Take a fun sensory tour with Señor Nacho when you order a make-your-own chili con carne. Or find out why a burger is not only delicious but also the perfect sensory-composed meal.

If you prefer sweet treats, you should try our bubble tea or make your own plant-based soft ice cream from our soft ice cream machine.

Of course, SMASK also has plenty of other good and more traditional dishes, pastries, cakes, snacks, and beverages.

We look forward to welcoming Experimentarium’s guests to the restaurant, where annual pass holders receive a 20% discount.

SMASK’s Opening Hours

Monday-Sunday: 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (the kitchen closes at 4:00 p.m.)

Note: On December 24th and 31st, SMACK (like the rest of Experimentarium) closes at 2:00 p.m. and does not offer hot food on those days.

Meetings and Events

Madkastellet and SMASK also caters events, parties, and conferences at Experimentarium and provides the catering for our popular meeting packages.
