Christmas Gingerbread Workshop

Get into the holiday spirit with Experimentarium’s cozy Christmas tradition — the gingerbread workshop, known as Julerød Bageby. Open weekends from November 29-30 and all days from 20. December to January 4.

Please note: Access to the gingerbread workshop is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and therefore cannot be guaranteed.

You’ll quickly discover that gingerbread is the world’s most wonderfully scented building material when you step into “Julerød Bageby” – Experimentarium’s cozy gingerbread workshop.

Unleash your family’s creativity and build whatever you can dream up — perhaps one of Copenhagen’s beautiful castles, a modern villa, or maybe a cozy little shelter for gummy bears in a forest of marshmallow trees.

Following traditional gingerbread-building techniques, your masterpiece should, of course, be decorated with plenty of candy and colorful icing.

All materials — gingerbread, candy, and icing — are freely available in the workshop, and participation is included with your valid Experimentarium ticket.

Please note: Access to the gingerbread workshop is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and therefore cannot be guaranteed.

In December, you can also vote for your favorite creations on our Facebook page, where we’ll nominate and crown this year’s fan favorites.
